PowerFit Booty Camp

Every year I go on a weekend trip with five of my grade school friends. Out of the five, over the years two have been the most disciplined about their exercise. They walk, run, take Pilates and usually put the rest of us to shame with their energy.   Every morning of our time together we will get out and exercise. That means that the two of them have always been leading the pack, ahead of the three of us huffin and puffin to keep up.

Not any more, thanks to the work I've been doing with Michelle. I not only kept up with my two fit friends this year but surpassed them on a morning run. Although it's not a contest with us (oh really!), it felt very good to know that my efforts with Michelle and her group (Booty Camp) have paid off.

Michelle makes sure we are progressing and pushes us to step up our training.   It's all done in a fun atmosphere with great coaching and kind nudging to keep it up and keep on changing. Wonder what I'll be able to do at my next year's trip!! Thanks Michelle!

I just wanted to send a quick note to thank you for all you have done for me!  Over a year ago, I came to you to help me get fit and guess what…I just finished my first triathlon!!  You gave me the physical confidence to do it, but most importantly, you game me the emotional confidence to sign up, train and finish the race!!   Anyway, I wanted to share my results with you and let you know that for me, YOU made a difference.  You have impacted my life in more ways than you know!

Thank you again, I will stop by one day to give you a big hug!!
Love,
Peggy

Michelle started from scratch with me. I was fifty years old, six months out of a hysterectomy and fitness ignorant. The first time Michelle told me to "tighten my core" I was absolutely clueless!

Michelle made me feel comfortable at the gym from the very beginning. I'm pretty sure she knew when I lied about my starting weight (Woo-hoo! No scales at the gym). Now I understand that starting weight is irrelevant-still it was sweet of her not to bust me.

I'd never gotten any physical therapy after an extensive surgery on my right knee. For seven years the knee felt very untrustworthy. Somehow Michelle worked around it and "worked it" at the same time. Today I'm able to do things on that knee that my surgeon thought would be impossible.

I've always had a sensitive stomach. Sometimes I could eat a huge mexican plate and be fine, then others I'd be sick after a spinach salad. Michelle taught me about nutrition-how to notice and pay attention to how my body responded to what I put in it.

We didn't take it slow or easy in the beginning. There were days when I'd be hurtin' for certain, but never so bad that I thought about quitting. I felt an improvement in my over all health as early as three weeks into my training. Michelle was able to teach me how to isolate a muscle, stretch it, then work and strengthen it. When I didn't "get it" she'd pitch it to me a different way until I did. If I ever felt bad when I went in to workout, I'd always feel better when I left.

That holds true to this day. It's hard to believe that two years have flown by since I started training with Michelle. The changes Michelle helped me make on the outside are quite noticeable and that pleases me. But the changes she helped me make on the inside, I think those please me more.
